Unsure of the size of your filter? Check by looking for a label on the bottom of the unit. Model HM400 indicates standard size filter. If still unsure, measure the filter size which should be 14.5" high.
Do you feel like changing the filter and try something new? All standard size units are interchangeable with all standard size filters. The 4 Stages of Filtration for the Allergy Machine Replacement Filter
Stage 1 — The large particle pre-filter is the first line of defense and helps remove particles that we see around the house or office such as dust, hair, and pet dander.
Stage 2 — Small to medium size particles (e.g. molds, spores, and pollen) are removed with the medium particle pre-filter. The second pre-filter really helps the HEPA and HEGA do their jobs more easily by capturing these particles.
Stage 3 — With an industry-leading 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA, they can remove 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and 95% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns. The HEPA filter is truly a workhorse filter that helps give the fresh air you need.
Stage 4 — The last stage of the filtration process is the Military-Grade HEGA Carbon Cloth (High-Efficiency Gas Arrestance) that provides an extremely large surface area for adsorption of chemicals, gases, viruses, and bacteria. It helps remove the VOCs that are in your air and helps reduce the asthma and allergy attacks.
